RAADZAAL BEEK

New visual for the Council Chamber of the Municipality of Beek.

Beek in all its facets. This was the brief of the municipality for the new wall canvas for the Council Chamber of the Municipality of Beek. My inspiration was literally on the street. The renewal in the form of modern office buildings along the highway, the classic mill of Genhout, the Kleppermen, the local vigilante of Beek in times long forgotten, the locally distilled drink, known to many as "The Elske", the oldest shutter of the Netherlands, in short, a lively wallpaper where you keep looking. The dimensions of 5.5 meters by 3.5 meters appeal to the imagination. Together with in-terior designer Mieke Hoogenboom, we have combined this challenge into a beauti-ful whole. Executed in acoustic fabric it is an asset to the municipality of Beek.

WIERTZ LANDGRAAF

Make our hall our business card.

Wiertz BV in Landgraaf renovated the entrance in their headquarters. I was given the free space to transform this entrance into a piece of history and the origin of the company. Central to this are the founders Harrie Wiertz and Herman Dassen. They laid the foundation for this company, which is pri-marily engaged in utility maintenance of houses and offices. Starting as bricklayers, plumbers, plasterers, tilers etc. this company developed into an all-round organization in the maintenance of buildings. In the visual, besides the founders Herman Dassen and Harrie Wiertz, the water tower in Waubach can be seen as well as the components with which the company has grown.

BRASSERIE MURPHY'S SITTARD

Murphy's in Sittard commissioned me to design a new wall in their brasserie. The interior needed a thorough renovation and the long wall was ready for a makeover. Colour and the city of Sittard were the key words. By combining photography with graphic elements, I designed the whole. Sittard is a city that is constantly developing. Old and new go well together in this visual. The city has enough subjects that can be beautifully represented in this wall print. Of course, Toon Hermans plays a prominent role in the whole. Supported by a beautiful poem of his, he completes the whole.
