Louvre
Waar eens de zonnekoning resideerde in Parijs is het Louvre nu een verzameling van kunst en cultuur van over de hele wereld. In de tachtiger jaren ontwierp de Amerikaanse architect I.M.Pei de nieuwe entree van dit iconishe museum en de kunstwereld stond in rep en roer. Achteraf gezien een geweldige keuze die leidde tot duidelijk waarneembare meerwaarde voor het museum en de stad Parijs. Het Louvre stond weer op de kaart. In de avond reflecteert deze tegenstelling zich nog meer als het geregend heeft in de relectie op de grond en de weerspiegeling in het water. Het geheel krijgt dan een magisch sfeer. De tegenstelling oud en nieuw gaat dan in een mooie evenwichtige balans. Tevens weerspiegelen de piramides een mooie brug tussen het oude Egypte en de moderne beleving in het museum.

Reflections
The Louvre at night…I think one of the most beautiful places in Paris to experience.
Especially when it has rained a little, the pyramid reflects a fabulous atmosphere.
It is not crowded then and you can let the creation of the architect I.M.Pei work on you.
If it is then also ice cold, the atmosphere is certainly special. The air is clean and everything reflects
then in a wonderful way in the environment. Rain takes over the mirroring on the surface and if you look closely you will see the most beautiful things. The combination with the old palace of Louis the fourteenth is almost magical. In a fraction I saw this reflection and took my time to capture this glimpse and process it into a beautiful wall visual.
